John Whitney (variously found as Rev. John "Elias" Whitney; Rev. ""Elias" Whitney, and Elder John Whitney) (Samuel, John, Bejamin, John) Son of Samuel Whitney and Lydia Spooner. Married Joanna Foy (Foye) born 1746, daughter of Charles Foy (Foye) and Hephzibah Seavey (Children of Charles Foye - "Sketches of the History of Town of Camden, Maine by John L. Locke, 1859, page 412-413). Marriage: Abt. 1762.

This is for Lydia Whitney 1784 - 1871, the daughter of Elias Whitney (Rev)( ? - ?). Lydia Whitney married Daniel Brackett (1784-1871). One of the children of this marriage was Mary/Polly Brackett (1809 -1883) who married John H. Hogle (1804 - 1888). One of their children, Lydia Hogle (1831 - ?), married Asher J. Barrett ( 1825 - 1898).
