'''Patricia Ann (Nicholson) Whitney'''

Patricia Ann (Nicholson) Whitney born August 13, 1946 to Laura Mae (Savage) and Harold Glenn Nicholson in Rutland, Vermont. My parents were immigrants from Fredericton NB Canada and had come to work on my Great-Grandmother Hannah Araminta (Nicholson) McCutcheon Kendall's farm in Danby, Vermont. They later moved to Montpelier, Vermont when I was four where I grew up and met my husband. As an adult I was a school librarian and retired in 2006. As such I had the skills to help my husband with some of the research he needed to do on his genealogy. We have two children, Lynnette Ann born February 27, 1977 and now a civil engineer and a son Gavin Spencer born August 16, 1979 on his father's birthday and now a computer programming engineer with his own company... both of them still in Vermont.
My husband Spencer Hale Whitney born on August 16, 1942 in Melrose, MA at the Wakefield Hospital and lived most of his life in Vermont but was big into genealogy in his later years and began a search for Enoch Whitney's burial place that his father had begun. Then he started a Whitney Family Reunion in northern Maine in Lee in 1998 for descendants of William Alonzo, Joseph Franklin and Braddock Whitney which later was expanded to include descendants back to Benjamin and Thomas Whitney. An Eleanor M. (Whitney) Crouch of Greenbush, ME came to our reunions and then published a 109 page addendum to Pierce's with updated information on the lines of John Whitney's four son's John, Thomas, Jonathan, and Benjamin in 2002. (Spencer is now deceased, May 20, 2002.) Our Whitney Reunion this year will be on Saturday July 12, 2008 in Lincoln ME beginning at 10AM. Contact me if interested.
