He married 15 Nov 1849,  Amherst, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, '''Hannah Francis Knight ''', daughter of Jonathan and Lucy Adeline (Putnam) Knight. She was born 15 Apr 1830,  Amherst, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, and died   1916, Waterford, Erie, Pennsylvania.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After Timothy’s father, Jacob, died in 1833, it is most likely he went to live with his grandparents Richard and Sarah Whitney until he was 16.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Then he went to Nashua, Hillsborough, New Hampshire to work in a cotton mill where he became an overseer.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sometime during 1851 Timothy, Hannah and Emma moved to Waterford, Pennsylvania to join Timothy’s brother, Hugh Henry Whitney&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In 1854 they bought a farm at Lake Pleasant, Venango Township, Erie County, Pa where he had a sawmill and made lumber and ship timbers for sale in Erie. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
They lived on the farm until 1865 when Timothy moved them back into Waterford for his children education.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In 1870 he became went into the grocery business, which he continued until just before he died. &lt;br /&gt;
His business suffered 2 fires in 1881 and 1895, and each time he rebuilt and continued.&lt;br /&gt;
Timothy Watts died on 29 Feb, 1904, Waterford, Erie, Pennsylvania, after a long illness.&lt;br /&gt;

He married 15 Nov 1849,  Amherst, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, '''Hannah Francis   Knight ''', daughter of Johnathan and Lucy Adeline (Putnam) Knight. She was born 15 Apr 1830,  Amherst, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, and died   1916, Waterford, Erie, Pennsylvania.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After Timothy’s father, Jacob died in 1833, it is most likely he went to live with his grandparents Richard and Sarah Whitney until he was 16.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Then he went to Nashua, Hillsborough, New Hampshire to work in a cotton mill where he became the overseer.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sometime during 1851Timothy, Hannah and Emma moved to Waterford, Pennsylvania to join Timothy’s brother, Hugh Henry Whitney&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In 1854 they bought a farm at Lake Pleasant, Venango Township, Erie County, Pa where he had a sawmill and made lumber and ship timbers for sale in Erie. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
They lived on the farm until 1865 when Timothy moved them back into Waterford for his children education.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In 1870 he became went into the grocery business, which he continued until just before he died. &lt;br /&gt;
His business suffered 2 fires in 1881 and 1895, and each time he rebuilt and continued.&lt;br /&gt;
Timothy Watts died on 29 Feb, 1904, Waterford, Erie, Pennsylvania, after a long illness.&lt;br /&gt;
