MRS. S. A. MITCHELL, proprietress Durfee House; the original building was erected in the spring of 1857 by Mr. Whitney, was burnt down and afterward rebuilt. Since that time, has had additions made to it at various times. It is a frame building irregular in shape with ground dimensions about 50x100 feet. In contains twenty-seven bedrooms. Passed into present management in 1882. ...
