Archive:1860 Census Records, Colorado
The Colorado Territory wasn't formed until 1861. Parts of present Colorado were enumerated in the 1860 censuses of the Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Utah Territories. The following census information for Colorado for the year 1860 is available:
- Kansas Territory, for Arapahoe County, and part of Denver city.
- Nebraska Territory, for Boulder City, Boulder Creek Settlement, Miraville City, the Platte River Settlement, and part of Denver city.
- New Mexico Territory, for the southeast portion of the state, included in parts of Taos and Mora Counties.
- Utah Territory, for the western portion of the state, including Conejos, Costilla, Lake, and Summit Counties.
