  • Code numbers beginning with 1 or 2 indicate that the prisoner died at Andersonville. These should also have a Grave No. assigned as well.
  • Code numbers beginning with a 3 indicate that the prisoner is reported to have died at Andersonville yet this can not be confirmed.
  • Code numbers beginning with 4 or 5 indicate prisoners that survived Andersonville.
