Nathaniel Rochester, (1752-1831), served on the Committee of Safety of Orange Co., and, 1776, in the Provincial Congress of North Carolina. He died in Rochester, N. Y., a city he founded.

Gr.-granddaughter of Thomas Harrington and Lucy Perry, his wife, m. 1771; Thaddeus Smith, (b. 1753) and Silence Jones, his wife.
Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Ebenezer Smith and Abagail Fessenden Wellington, his wife.
Thomas Harrington served in Capt. John Parker's company in the defense of Boston. He was born, 1748, in Lexington.
Ebenezer Smith, (1708-81), was a minute man at the Lexington Alarm and with him was his son Thaddeus.

Samuel Osgood, (1749-1834), enlisted in Capt. John Moody's company, Badger's regiment, to re nforce the army in New York, 1776. He died in Gilmantown.

Benjamin Pearce enlisted, 1775, in Capt. Joel Smith's company, Col. John Glover's regiment. He was born in Marblehead, where, in 1808, he died.

Granddaughter of Stephen Brooks and Prudence Whitcomb, (b. 1762), his wife; Luther Goodspeed and Elizabeth Rugg, his wife.
Gr.-granddaughter of Luke Brooks and Lucy Wheeler, his wife, m. 1756; John Whitcomb and Rebecca, his second wife; Isaac Goodspeed and Ann Jenkins, his wife; Daniel Rugg, Jr., and Elizabeth Woods Divoll, his wife.
Isaac Goodspeed, (1731-1826), was a private in Capt. Ephraim Stockwell's company, Col. Job Cushing's regiment to re nforce the army at Bennington. He was born in Barnstable; died in Hubbardstown.
Luke Brooks was a minute-man at the Lexington Alarm from Stow, where he died. He was born in Concord, 1731.
Stephen Brooks, (1756-1836), served at the Lexington Alarm and at White Plains. He was born in Stow; died in Templeton, Mass.

Daniel Rugg, Jr., (1743-1830), entered the army as lieutenant, 1776, and commanded a company under Col. Josiah Whitney, 1779. He was born and died in Lancaster.
John Whitcomb, (1713-85), was appointed, 1775, first major general by the Provincial Congress and at Bunker Hill [p.320] had command of Lechmere Point. He declined a commission from the Continental Congress, 1776, on account of age. He was born in Bolton, where he died.
