Reuben Towle (1762-1849) was placed on the pension roll of Vermont 1831, for service as private, New Hampshire militia. He was born in Chester, N. H.; died in Franklin, Vt.

John Rose (1740-1822) served as ensign in Col. Seth Warner's Connecticut regiment, 1777-78. He was born in Canaan, Conn.

Elias Babcock (1758-1839) enlisted 1775 under Capt. Root and 1777 served in Capt. Nathan Watkin's company, Col. Samuel Brewer's regiment. His pension was allowed for[p.247] three years' actual service as private, Massachusetts line. He was born in Voluntown, Conn., died in West Berkshire, Vt.

Abraham Fuller (1735-1808) commanded a company at the Danbury Raid. He was born in Colchester; died in Kent, Conn.

Isaac Whitney Shumway (1761-1849) applied for a pension from Palmyra, N. Y., 1818 for two years' service as private, in Capt. Silas Pierce's company, Col. Michael Jackson's Massachusetts regiment. He was born in Belcher, Mass.; died in Macedon, N. Y.
