Entered Trinity college, Hartford, Conn., Sept., 1871, graduating in June, 1874. Member of the Psi Upsilon, Phi Beta Kappa societies. Entered Shattuck School as professor of Latin and German, which position he has held for twenty successive years. Has been quite prominent in Masonic circles, now (1894) holding the posi- tion of V.
