I. Arba Dunbar Miller, b. at Harmony, N. Y., 21 July 1843; a druggist; married at Irving, in Hanover, N. Y., 18 Sept 1867, Alice Amelia Dewey, dau. of Erastus and Eliza Ann (Cole) Dewey, of North East, Penn. She was born at Moscow, N. Y., 15 Jan. 1844. They settled at Petroleum Centre, Penn.; and moved, in 1869, to Portsmouth, Ohio, where they were living in Ap. 1874. He was a member of Co. I, 68th Reg., N. G. S. N. Y., and served for 30 days during the Confederate raid toward Harrisburgh, Penn. He also enlisted in 1864, was assigned to the 90th Reg., N. Y. Veteran Volunteers, as orderly sergeant, and served till the close of the war.
