died at Detroit, Mich., in 1865. He died in Ap. 1854, at Cleveland, in Constantia, N. Y., and was buried there. They had no children.
2386 II. William Henry Whitney, b. at Mexico, N. Y., 30 March 1829; a boatman; married, 4 July 1852, at Central Square, in Hastings, N. Y., Emma Clayson, dau. of Henry B. and Ann (Clark) Clayson, of Cleveland, N. Y. She was born in Bedfordshire, England, in 1830. They dwelt, for one year, in Camden, N. Y.; and then settled at Cleveland, in Constantia, N. Y., where they were living in Ap. 1875. 7159
2387 III. Charles H. Whitney, b. at Taberg, N. Y., 30 June 1831; a photographer; married, 30 June 1873, at Savannah, N. Y., Abbie Herington, dau. of John and Betsey (Houghton) Herington, of Whitestown, N. Y., where she was born 14 Sept 1836. They settled at Cleveland, in Constantia, N. Y., and were living there in Aug. 1874, without children. Before his marriage, lie had lived, for three years, in New York City, and, for twelve years, in Baldwinsville, N. Y.
2388 IV. Fanny Maria Whitney, b. at Cleveland, N. Y.; died in Oct. 1847, at Cleveland, and was buried there.
2389 V. Louisa Jane Whitney, b. at Cleveland, in Constantia, N. Y., 11 Ap. 1836; married, 14 Feb. 1865, A. F. Tipton. They were living at Elkader, Iowa, in Ap. 1875. 7168

2390 I. Sarah Lucinda Finney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 29 Oct 1823; married, 3 May 1843, by her father, at Haverhill, Mass., to Henry Augustine Butters, a tanner, whose parents then lived in Haverhill, and previously in Medford, and Andover, Mass. He was born in Andover, 3 Sept. 1817, son of Francis and Betsey (Griffin) Butters. They lived in Haverhill till 1864; and then moved to San Francisco, Cal., where they were living in 1874. 7169
2391 II. Cyrus George Finney, b. in Henderson, N. Y., 6 Ap. 1825; a dentist; settled in San Francisco, Cal.; and there died, of consumption, 11 Ap. 1862, unmarried, and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery, at Oakland, Cal.
2392 III. Mary Philanda Finney, b. in Mexico, N. Y., 29 Jan. 1827; married, 6 Oct. 1847, at Newburyport, Mass., by her father, to Rector Elisha Cole, a dentist, of Dalton, Mass., who was born in Madison, Ohio, 7175
