2406 VII. Lydia Whitney, b. at Booneville, N. Y., 25 Sept. 1839; died at New York Mills, N. Y., 1 Sept. 1847, and was buried there.
2407 VIII. Isabella Whitney, b. at Booneville, N. Y., 25 May 1841; married in Ap. 1861, at Utica, N. Y., William Rittenour; died at Utica, 17 Aug. 1870; and was buried at New York Mills. He lived at Forestport, N. Y., in 1874. 7201
2408 IX. John Marshall Whitney, b. at Booneville, N.Y., 27 Aug. 1843; married, 9 Sept. 1866, at Sauquoit, N. Y., by Rev. Joseph F. Crawford, Methodist Episcopal, to Elizabeth Jane Barnes, who was born at Hawkinsville, in Booneville, 15 Dec. 1847, dau. of Samuel and Lydia (Musprat) Barnes. She died, 9 Sept. 1870, at New York Mills, N. Y., and was buried in the New York Mills Cemetery. He was married (2d), 1 May 1873, at Rome, N. Y., by Rev. Peter Stryker, Presbyterian, to Mary Ellen Simmons, of New York Mills, who was born at Rome, 21 Sept. 1852, dau. of Harvey and Kate (McCarty) Simmons. He moved to New York Mills, with his father, 5 Oct. 1845, and was still living there in Aug. 1874, an overseer of weaving in the lower mill. 7204

2409 I. William Arthur Whitney, b. in Mexico, N. Y., 4 May 1828; a carpenter and joiner; married, 10 Jan. 1848, at her father's house in Ellisburgh, N. Y., by Rev. Mr. Rice, Universalist, to Abigail Arabel Fuller, who was born in Ira, Vt., 10 Feb. 1829, dau. of Malachi and Mary (Fox) Fuller. They settled near Belleville, in Ellisburgh; and removed in March 1864, to Newport, N. Y., where they were living in 1874. He enlisted at Watertown, N. Y., in 1864, in the 10th Reg., N. Y. S. Cavalry; and was discharged soon after the capture of Richmond, Va., having been ten months in service. 7206
2410 II. George Ashby Whitney, b. in Mexico, N. Y., 6 Jan. 1831; a carpenter and builder; married at Greenpoint, Brooklyn, N. Y., Rebecca Hendrickson; married (2d), at Elmore, Ohio, Angeline J. Rice, dau. of Russell and Margaret (Macbeth) Rice, of Elmore. They moved to Ottawa Co., Ohio, in the Autumn of 1861, and were living there, at Elliston (of which he was postmaster), in 1874. 7209
