3817 IV. Emily Elizabeth Whitney, b. at Waimea, in the island of Kauai, Sandwich Islands, 9 Jan. 1827; grad. at the Mt. Holyoke Female Seminary, July 1848; married in the Third Congregational Church, New Haven, Conn., 23 Aug. 1853, Salmon McCall, from Goshen, in Lebanon, Conn., born 17 March 1826, son of William McCall, of Lebanon. He was settled, in Dec. 1853, over the Congregational Church of Saybrook, now old Saybrook, Conn.; and they were living there in 1867. 10298

Laura Ann Tiffany, b. at Mount Pleasant, Penn., 15 Nov. 1819; married at Gibson, Penn., 16 Sept. 1839, Oliver Payne, a tinner and farmer, son of Oliver and Elvira (Bartow) Payne, of Gibson, where he was born 1 Ap. 1816. They dwelt in Gibson for seventeen years; and then settled at Harford, Penn., where they were living in Feb. 1875. 10300

3819 III. Eunice Avery Tiffany, b. at Mount Pleasant, Penn., 14 Feb. 1823; married Hamilton F. Whitney, a physician, of Gibson; married (2d), Elisha W. Forbes, of Susquehanna Depot, Penn.; and was living there in Jan. 1875. 10303
3820 IV. William Franklin Tiffany, b. at Mount Pleasant, Penn., 13 March 1825; a veterinary surgeon; married in 1849, at Binghamton, N.Y., with Mariette Parmenter, dau. of William Parmenter, of Gibson, Penn. They settled, in 1850, at Dundee, Mich., and were living there in Jan. 1875. 10305
3821 V. Catharine Maria Tiffany, b. at Mount Pleasant, Penn., 1 Jan. 1828; married at Gibson, Penn., 4 Ap. 1853, by Rev. George N. Todd, Presbyterian, to Edward Wells Rogers, a teacher, son of William Chancey and Elizabeth Maria (Felter) Rogers, of Walton, N.Y., where he was born 12 July 1832. They have lived at Jackson, Scranton, Hyde Park, White Haven, Providence, Great Bend, and Susquehanna Depot, in Penn.; and at Afton and Bainbridge, in New York; having had charge, in each place, of a high-school or academy. They were dwelling at the last-named place in Feb. 1875. He was educated at the Delaware Literary Institute, Franklin, N. Y. He served for one year, in the war of 1861, as capt. of Co. H, 177th Reg., Penn. Vol. Infantry; and for one year, as capt. of Co. M, 15th Reg., N. Y. Vol. Engineers. 10307
