4561 I. Thomas Woodbury Hicks, b. at St. John, N. B., 30 Jan. 1797; was drowned in the falls at the mouth of St. John River, in the Spring of 1823, and was buried at St. John. He was not married.
4562 II. Elizabeth Ann Hicks, b. at St. John, N. B., 28 June 1798; married John Harvey, of Nova Scotia; married (2d), William Scribner, of Kingston, N. B.; married (3d), 3 Dec. 1845, Alexander Mutch, who was born on Prince Edward Island, 2 Jan.1799. They were living at Rothesay, N. B., in Feb. 1874. 11774
4563 III. Samuel Whitney Hicks, b. at St. John, N. B., 6 March 1800; a ship-carpenter; married at Pereaux, Cornwallis, N. S., 14 Jan. 1833, Ruth West, dau. of Elijah and Mary (Coffin) West, of Pereaux. She was born at Habitant, Cornwallis, 11 Sept. 1816. They dwelt at Pereaux, Horton Bluff, Fox River in Parrsborough, and Lower Horton, all in Nova Scotia; and in the last-mentioned place he died, 30 Nov. 1855. She was living at Canning, Cornwallis, in May 1874. 11775
4564 IV. Mary Hicks, b. at St. John, N. B., 27 July 1802; married at Hampton, N. B., 27 July 1820, James Kierstead, a farmer, son of James and Elizabeth (Shaw) Kierstead, of Hampton, where he was born 18 March 1794. They settled at Hampton, now Rothesay, N. B.; where they died (he, 31 Dec. 1858; she, 8 Ap. 1876), and were buried in the Baptist Cemetery. 11785
4565 V. Louisa Hicks, b. at St. John, N. B., 3 March 1805; married at Hampton, N. B., 7 Feb. 1825, by Rev. James Cookson, Episcopal, to Thomas Saunders, born at Hampton, 26 Sept. 1797, son of John and Elizabeth (Houk) Saunders. They settled at Hampton, now Rothesay, N. B., and were living there in Feb. 1874. 11796
4566 VI. William Hicks, b. at St. John, N. B., 20 Jan. 1807; a ship-carpenter, and afterward a trader; married in 1844, at Pennfield, N. B., Mary Holmes, dau. of John Holmes, of Pennfield, where she was born in 1814. She died at St. John, where they settled after marriage, and was buried at Hampton, N. B. He married (2d), in 1850, at St. John, Mary Burton, who was born in London, Eng., in 1815. They moved in 1860 to Pennfield, where she died, and was buried. He moved in 1870 to St. Andrew, N. B., where he married (3d), in 1872, Phebe McGrath, dau. of Andrew and Elizabeth (Weir) McGrath, of Bear Run, N. S. She was born at Digby, N. S., in 1828. They were living at St. Andrew in Ap. 1874. 11808
