p. 109, #529: Joseph5 WHITNEY did not die in 1810, as he was granted a pension in 1818. He did die 19 Sep 1824, according to his widow's Revolutionary War pension record.

p. 109, #1369: Isaac W.6 WHITNEY was born 31 Mar 1793, Francestown, NH, according to the New Hampshire birth index.

p. 109, #530: James5 WHITNEY married, 27 Jun 1785, Pepperell, MA, Elizabeth KEMP. No children have been found for them. He was not the James WHITNEY whose children are listed here. The ancestry of that James WHITNEY is not certain, but he may be James5 WHITNEY [James4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1], #460 on page 53. Whatever his ancestry, he married 14 Jun 1763, Brookline, MA, Mary THAYER, and moved to Winchester, NH. They had eight children recorded there:

i. Mary6, b. 21 Mar 1764.
ii. Orlando, b. 30 Nov 1766; m. Asenath STILES.
iii. Katharine, b. 21 Mar 1768.
iv. Sabina, b. 6 Dec 1769; m. Ebenezer SANGER.
v. Daniel Thayer, b. 26 Feb 1772; m. Content STILES.
vi. Lydia, b. 23 Oct 1774.
vii. James, b. 23 Sep 1776, apparently d. young.
viii. James, b. 24 Jul 1778; m. Abigail -----.

Possibly "Jazamiah" was a ninth child, born after their removal to Ludlow, VT. Some of this family are found later in St. Johnsbury, VT.

p. 109, #1381: There were two additional children in this family, according to Dunstable vital records and Tyngsborough vital records: James6 WHITNEY, born 12 Feb 1769, married Lydia SPAULDING; and Betty6 WHITNEY, b. 30 May 1772, married Joseph LAND.
