p. 66, #245: Gideon4 WHITNEY was born 29 Nov 1729, not 27 Nov 1729, according to Hopkinton vital records. He died 24 Jul 1752, Hopkinton, MA, not 2 Dec 1753. His widow Hannah (NORCROSS) WHITNEY married secondly, 24 Apr 1755, Hopkinton, MA, Joseph HAYDEN.

p. 66, #695: Daniel6 WHITNEY was baptized 24 Jan 1741/2, Brookline, MA, according to Brookline vital records.

p. 66, #696: John6 WHITNEY married Mary (not May) PAYSON, according to Roxbury vital records.

p. 66, #697: Elijah 6 WHITNEY was baptized (not born) 23 Sep 1744, according to Roxbury vital records

p. 66, #704: Margaret6 WHITNEY died 29 Dec 1769, Newton, MA, aged 29 years, according to Newton vital records.

p. 66, #713: Gershom6 WHITNEY died 4 Feb 1759, Newton, MA, according to Newton vital records.

p. 66, #714: Persis6 WHITNEY married, 6 Apr 1797, Newton, MA, James RICHARDS, Jr., widower of her first cousin Sarah6 WHITNEY, #702, and Dorothy PACKARD, according to Newton vital records.

pp. 66-67, #261: Joseph5 WHITNEY was born in Roxbury (not Watertown), MA, according to Roxbury vital records. He married, 26 Oct 1749, Newton, MA, Mary HASTINGS, according to Newton vital records. The maiden name of Anna, his second wife, is not known. The only evidence that it was PALMER is the fact that she named two sons Palmer WHITNEY. This is suggestive, but far from proof!
