He married firstly, 2 Feb 1729, Canaan, CT, Olive Wheeler, daughter of Ephraim and Elizabeth (Spaulding) Wheeler. She was born 13 Jan 1708/9, Plainfield, CT, and died 17 Apr 1772, Canaan, CT. She was buried in the Lower or Mountain View Cemetery, North Canaan, CT.

He married secondly, 23 Jun 1772, Canaan, CT, Betsey Smith, parentage and birth unknown. She died 31 Mar 1772, Canaan, CT. The discrepancy in dates is noted, but not explained.

He married thirdly, 6 Jul 1773, Canaan, CT, Elizabeth (Clarke) Higby, daughter of Cheney and Elizabeth (Hall) Clarke. She was born 8 Aug 1735, Middletown, CT. She had married firstly, 11 Nov 1756, Middletown, CT, Isaac Higby.
