Josiah Robbins (Abigail4 Whitney, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of John and Abigail4 (Whitney) Robbins, was born 3 Feb 1739/40, Killingly, CT, and died about 1809, Alstead, NH.

He married firstly, before 1779, Elizabeth -----, parentage unknown. She was born about 1737, and died 31 May 1786, Alstead, NH, aged 49 years.

He "of Alstead" married secondly, 4 Oct 1787, Amherst, MA, Lydia Robbins, parentage, birth, and death unknown. She had a son prior to her marriage to Josiah, paternity unknown: William Robbins, born before 6 Sep 1773.

"Josiah4 Robbins, b. 3 Feb. 1739/40; d. ca. 1809, according to his will, which mentions second wife, Lydia, and nine children; m. (1) Elizabeth _____. In 1779, Josiah "of Killingly, Conn." bought 60 acres at Windsor, Vt. Later, the family moved to Alstead, N.H., where Elizabeth d. 31 May 1786, aged 49. Josiah m.(2) as "Josiah of Alstead," 4 Oct. 1787 at Amherst, Mass., Lydia Robins."

He had nine children living at the time of making his will, whose names haven't been found.
