Albert R.7 Whitney (Josiah6, Josiah5, Josiah4, Josiah3, [prob.] Benjamin2, John1), son of Josiah6 and Almira (Ellsworth) Whitney,[1] was born 26 Jan 1821, Rootstown, OH,[2] and died 7 Dec 1852, at age 30.[3]
He married firstly, 14 Mar 1841, Rootstown, OH, Betsey Case. She was born about 1821,[4] and died before 1850.
He married secondly, before 1852, Lydia -----. She was born about 1827 in TN, and died before 1865. She married secondly, Woodson B. Hogan. She died before 1865.
He was a farmer. He resided Rootstown, OH, and Pulaski County, AR.

i. Ohel Edward8 Whitney, b. 1 Jan 1842, Rootstown, OH; m.(1) Sarah Hayes; m.(2) Mary Elle Askren. ii. Newell H Whitney, b. 16 Sep 1844, OH; d. bef. 1865, Peach Tree Creek, GA. He was killed on the skirmish line at Peach Tree Creek, GA, in the Civil War. He was a member of Company K, 19th Ohio.

iii. Mary8 Whitney, b. ca. 1850 in AR; d. bef. 1865. ii. John Whitney; b. ca. 1852 in AR; d. bef. 1865.
