Moses7 Whitney (Samuel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Samuel6 and Phebe (Harrington) Whitney, was born 26 Jan 1767, Shrewsbury, MA,[1] and died 19 Jan 1834, Hoosick, NY.

He married 4 May 1789, Bernice Locke. She was born 11 Apr 1768, Pelham, Mass, and died 28 Nov 1855.

He was a farmer and resided in Marlboro, VT. In going from Bennington, Vermont, to Hoosick, New York, with a span of horses and a loaded wagon, when on the bank of the river the wagon slid upon some ice off the road down a steep bank, when he was thrown from his seat and so badly injured that he only survived thirty-six hours and died in Hoosick. His son Zenas was with him at the time and rendered every possible assistance for his relief. The remains were taken to Marlboro for burial. He resided Marlboro, VT, and Hoosick, NY.

vi. Moses Allis Whitney, b. 11 Jun 1802; m. Amanda Morgan and Louisa L. Fletcher.
vii. Brittania Whitney, b. 18 Oct 1805; m. 28 Jun 1832, Waters Gillet, of Wilmington, VT; had 8 ch.; they settled in Whitingham.
viii. Bernice Whitney, b. 11 May 1808; d. 10 Jun 1824.
ix. Zenas H. Whitney, b. 12 Jan 1812; m. Polly Ingraham.
