Nathan⁶ Whitney (David⁵, Nathan⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of David⁵ and Rebecca (Edgecom) Whitney, was born 10 Sep or 9 Oct 1769, Gorham, ME, and died 4 Jun 1852, Marietta, OH.

He married, 3 Mar 1796, Hallowell, ME, Eunice Cottle, daughter of Isaac and Rhoda (Manchester) Cottle.

viii.	Haman Whitney, b. ca. 1818, VA. He was perhaps the Haman Whitney, b. ca. 1812, VA enumerated with his family in 1870 in Prarie, Madison Co., AR.
