Samuel Whitney, parentage unknown but perhaps an as yet undocumented son of Samuel4 and Agnes (Bynum) Whitney, birth information unknown, died circa 1794.

Note: Whitney Joyner was enumerated in 1810 in Martin Co., NC, age 26-45, residing alone.
Note: According to online sources, the George Forrest who was enumerated in Halifax Dist., Martin Co., NC in 1790 was married to Wineford Joiner, possibly the daughter of Thomas Joiner of Halifax Co. There appears to be a familial connection here as well. - TBD More information on George Forrest and Winneford Joiner.
