Abigail5 Whitney (Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), daughter of Daniel4 and Dorothy (Tainter) Whitney,[1] was born 5 Jun 1725, Watertown, MA,[2] and was baptized 19 Sep 1736, Watertown, MA.[3]
Marriage intentions for her and "Edward" Fowle were published 26 Jan 1744, Boston, MA.[4] She married, 9 or 17 Mar 1745, Watertown, MA, Edmund Fowle "both of Watertown",[5] son of Edmund and Mary (Smith) Fowle.[6] He was born 23 Sep 1719, Newton, MA.[7]
Pierce says the following:[8]

He was a selectman, 1795, 1805, and 1806, Watertown, MA. iii. Mary Fowle, b. 21 Nov 1749. iv. Dorothy Fowle, b. 27 Jan 1752; m. 30 Dec 1772, Watertown, MA, Col. Jonathan Brewer, Jr., as his second wife. v. Ebenezer Smith Fowle, b. 25 Mar 1754; m. 10 May 1780, Watertown, MA, Susan Jackson "of Cambridge". vi. John Fowle, b. 1 Feb 1756; m. 8 Jan 1782, Watertown, MA, "of Newton" Mary Cook, daughter of Phineas and Abigail (Durant) Cook. He was also known as Capt. He was a selectman 1790 and 1792, Watertown, MA. vii. Lucy Fowle, b. 11 Aug 1758; m. 27 Aug 1785, Watertown, MA, John Meacham. viii.
