Amos4 Whitney (Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Jonathan3 and Sarah (Hapgood) Whitney, was born 1 May 1705, Watertown, MA,[1] and "Lt." died 31 Oct 1770, Townsend, MA, in his 66th year.[2]

Will of Amos Whitney of Townsend, lodged 13 Nov 1770. Citation by Levi Whitney of Daniel Whitney and Ebenezer Cutler's wife, brother and sister of deceased Amos.

Executor's bond of Levi Whitney, husbandman, of Townsend, with James Lock, Jr., of Ashby, husbandman, and Daniel Farwell, Jr., of Groton, laborer, as sureties, 22 Feb 1771.[3]
