Died aged 74y, 2m. Buried in the Lufkin Cemetery, Newburg, ME. Birth date calculated from age at death. John York d. 25 Apr 1862, Newburg, ME, aged 79 years. Had daughters Jane, Nancy, and Mary E. and probably others not known at this time. v. William Whitney, b. Apr 1786; m. Nancy Simpson.
