Amos6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Mary (Henden) Whitney, was born 18 Apr 1766, Bath, ME, and died Sep 1833, Bowdoinham, ME.

He married, 11 Jan 1798, Bowdoinham, ME (int. 13 Dec 1797), Abigail Springer.[1]

He was a rope spinner and died in his factory. He resided Bath and Bowdoinham, ME.

iv. Joel Whitney, b. ca. Sep 1814; m. Parthena Smith.
