Asaph6 Whitney (Jonathan5, Benjamin4, Benjamin3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jonathan5 and Eunice (Marshall) Whitney; born 21 Jun 1780, Dalton, MA, was baptized 3 Nov 1776, Hopkinton, MA,[1] and died 15 May 1858, Amboy, NY.[2]
He married, Preston, CT, Bethiah Hopkins, daughter of Daniel and Olive (Kinne) Hopkins. She was born 2 Jun 1777, Preston, CT, and died 29 Jun 1830, Cato, NY.[3]
He was a turner; manufactured brush handles, bedsteads, etc. He resided Rupert, VT, Greenwich and Amboy, NY.
