Bezeleel7 Whitney (Charles6, Aaron5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Charles6 and Elisabeth (Kimball) Whitney, was born 29 Sep 1766, Templeton, MA,[1] and died between 1820 and 1830.

He "of New Salem" married, 13 Oct 1795, Pelham, MA, Lucy Shays "of Greenwich", daughter of Daniel and Abigail (Gilbert) Shays. She was born about 1775, and died 20 Jul 1853, Commerce Township, Oakland Co., MI. She married secondly, 12 Oct 1835, John Hodge, Sr., of Commerce Township, Oakland Co., MI, who was born 1772, and died after 1857.

Bought land in New Salem in 1795, and sold it in 1796.[2]

Resided New Salem, MA, and Ogden, Genesee Co., NY.

Children of Bezeleel7 and Lucy (Shays) Whitney:

i. Daniel8 Whitney, b. ca. 1797; m. Hannah Hilton.
ii. Lucy Whitney, b. ca. 1799; d. 15 Sep 1870; m. ca. 1820 Jonathan Jenks, son of Amos Jenks of Rhode Island, b. 1787, d. 27 July 1851.
iii. Susan Whitney, b. 15 June 1802; d. 9 June 1852; m.(1) Amos Fincher, son of Jesse and Abigail (Jenks) Fincher; m.(2) 22 May 1825, NY, Joseph Washington Lane, b. 1795, d. 25 March 1851, son of Gorham and Rebecca (Jones) Lane.
