Charles8 Whitney (Jonathan7, Jonathan6, Caleb5, Jonathan4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Jonathan7 and Lucy (Spalding) Whitney, was born about 3 Apr 1827, Templeton, MA, and died 30 Mar 1866, Chelsea, MA, aged 38 years 11 months 27 days, of typhoid fever.[1]

He married, 22 May 1851, Phillipston, MA, Lydia Ann Mixter, daughter of Daniel and Experience (Whipple) Mixter.[2] She was born about 1831, Hubbardston or Phillipston, MA.[3] She married secondly, 31 Dec 1874, Templeton, MA, Charles T. Adams, born about 1835, Salem, MA, son of Thomas and Frances (-----) Adams.[4]
