He married firstly, 26 Nov 1868, Burlington, VT, Mary Jane Kelley, daughter of Francis and Mary (-----) Kelly.^[1] She was born 1 Feb 1847, VT, and died 19 Mar 1889, Burlington, VT.

He married secondly, 22 Oct 1892, Burlington, VT, Josephine (Pepkin) Gleed, daughter of Andrew and Elenora (-----) Pepkin. She was born about 1847, Johnson, VT, and died 31 Aug 1912, Burlington, VT.^[2] She had married firstly John L. Gleed.

He had 7 children and all died at an early age; resided Burlington, VT, 103 Church St.
