Charles W.9 Whitney (Jason8, Ohio7, Silas6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Jason8 and Elizabeth Laws (Sampson) Whitney, was born 7 Dec 1840, and died after 1920.

He married firstly, 13 Aug 1865 [per Pierce], or 12 Aug 1865, Ashburnham, MA, or 13 Aug 1865, Westminster, MA, Ruana Barrell, daughter of Nahum Barrell.[1] She was born 7 Nov 1842, Westminster, MA, and died after 1900. They were divorced.

He, of Ashby, married secondly, 15 Mar 1909, Ashby, MA, Mary E. (Deane)(Flagg) Southworth, of Ashburnham, daughter of Joseph and Ann M. (Taylor) Deane.[2] She was born about 1842, Griswold [CT], and died after 1920. She married firstly, 28 Oct 1880, Kensington, NH, Albert J. Flagg. She married secondly, 4 Jun 1889, Ashburnham, MA, John P. Southworth.

He resided Ashburnham, MA.
