Christopher6 Whitney (William5, William4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of William5 and Arcoucher (Dutcher) Whitney, was born 28 Sep 1751, Salisbury, CT,[1] and died after 1800.

He "of Salisbury" married, 1 Dec 1774, Sharon meeting house, Sharon, CT, Mary Ticknor "of Sharon",[2] daughter of John and Prudence (-----) Ticknor. She was born 3 Apr 1754, Sharon, CT, and died after 1800.

He was born in Salisbury, CT, where he resided until his majority.
