Edward Henry8 Whitney (Henry S.8, Ezra7, James6, Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Henry S.8 and Maria (Pratt) Whitney, was born 23 Mar 1843, Stafford, CT,[1] and died 20 Oct 1916, Dorchester, MA.

He married firstly, 14 Oct 1870, Templeton or Upton, MA, Harriet Barton, daughter of Franklin and Eliza K. (-----) Barton.[2] She was born about 1851, Blackstone, Mass.

He married secondly, 7 Feb 1874, Worcester, MA, Mary Jane Fitman, daughter of Robert and Catherine (-----) Fitman or Bridget (Hanley) Fitman.[3] She was born 22 Sep 1854, Worcester, MA, and died 5 Oct 1925, Dorchester, MA.
