Edward James⁹ Whitney (James Wallace⁸, Willard Washington⁷, Oliver⁶, Daniel⁵, Daniel⁴, Joseph³, Jonathan², John¹), son of James Wallace and Emma Cyrene (Wheeler) Whitney, was born 1 Mar 1868, Salisbury, VT,^[1] and died 27 Apr 1928, Leicester, VT.^[2]

He married, 7 Oct 1896, Salisbury, VT, Ida Mae Thomas,^[3] daughter of Henry Erwin and Cordelia Arimenta (Scovel) Thomas. She was born 22 Feb 1877, Rutland, VT, and died 8 Jul 1958, Salisbury, VT.^[4] They are both buried in the West Salisbury, VT, Cemetery.
