Edwin A.7 Whitney (James6, Joseph5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of James6 and Mary (Larrabee) Whitney, was born 5 Nov 1840, Gorham, ME, and died 23 May 1875.

Marriage intentions were published 11 Dec 1866, Unity, ME, for him "of Burnham" and Martha G. Vickery "of Unity",[1] daughter of Eli and Clarissa (Berry) Vickery. She was born 31 Aug 1837, and died 5 Jun 1904. Both are buried in Burnham Village Cemetery, Burnham, ME.

Martha was a descedant of Richard Warren and Edward Doty, passengers on the "Mayflower".
