Fanny Forrester8 Whitney (Aaron7, Aaron6, Levi5, Daniel4, Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), daughter of Aaron7 and Rebecca (Perkins) Whitney, was born 30 May 1846, ME, and died 12 Dec 1925, Hartford, CT. She was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, CT.[1]

She married, 12 Dec 1865, Hartford, CT, Nathan Rice Quackenbush. He was born 4 Apr 1837, New York City, NY, and died 24 Nov 1915, Plain City Village, Jerome, Ohio.

Fanny and Nathan were divorced in Mar 1870, Hartford, CT. Fanny was allowed to resume her maiden name. She resided 94 Waltham St., Boston, MA, in 1895.

Nathan married, secondly, 3 Jan 1878, Canton, NY, Augusta Martha Wallace.

Nathan was a Civil War veteran, and he and his wife Augusta received a pension from the U.S. government. Nathan's pension file is very extensive, occupying two overstuffed envelopes. The extent of the file is due to the extensive investigation held before granting his application for total disability due to indigestion caused by eating a piece of pie during the war.

Augusta Wallace Quackenbush died 19 Mar 1934, Columbus, OH.

Nathan Quackenbush is buried in the Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City, Jerome, OH. He died s.p.
