Francis9 Whitney (Nathan8, Nathan7, Abijah6, Joseph5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Nathan8 and Lydia (Viles) Whitney, was born 4 Dec 1844, Waltham, MA,[1] and died 20 Feb 1913, Waltham, MA, aged 68 years 2 months 16 days, of angina pectoris.[2]

He "Frank" married firstly, 21 or 25 Jan 1871, Springfield, MA, Lillian Stoddard, both of Springfield,[3] daughter of Henry E. and Sarah W. (Stetson) Stoddard. She was born Jan 1852, Woodstock, CT, and died 21 Sep 1873, Springfield, MA, aged 21 years 8 months, of typhoid fever.[4]

He, of Waltham, married secondly, 27 May 1879, Waltham, MA, Ella Diantha Goodnow of West Newton, daughter of Aaron M. and Hannah (Fairbank) Goodnow.[5] She was born 2 May 1849, Sudbury, MA, and died after 1910.

He was a bank teller

i. Frank Leroy10 Whitney, b. 30 Jul 1872, Springfield, MA;[6] d. after 1930; m. 21 Oct 1903, Waltham, MA, Ethel McCullough, b. ca. 1880, Waltham, MA, dau. of William F. and Sarah A. (Chambers) McCullough.[7] Children:
a. Frank Leroy11 Whitney, b. 9 Aug 1907, Waltham, MA.[8]

Francis9 and Ella Diantha (Goodnow) Whitney had no children.
