He married, 15 Sep 1886, Lowell, MA, Edith M. Parkin, daughter of John A. and Sarah A. (-----) Parkin.[2] She was born Jul 1863, Calais, ME.

Children of Frederick H. and Edith M. (Parkin) Whitney:

i. Frederick A. Whitney, b. 3 Sep 1889, Lowell, MA.[3]
ii. Edward P. Whitney, b. 10 Aug 1891, Lowell, MA;[4] d. 19 Mar 1892, Lowell, MA, aged 7 months 9 days, of congestion of the lungs.[5]
iii. Abbie L. F. Whitney, b. 13 Aug 1899, Lowell, MA.[6]
iv. Albie L. F. Whitney, b. 13 Aug 1900, Lowell, MA.[7]

Notes

Frederick's death record gives his mother's maiden name correctly, but omits his father's name. His paternity is unknown. If Josiah had died before 1855, then he may have been adopted or illegitimate.
