George F. Whitney (Jeremiah C., Phinehas, (poss.) John5, (poss.) Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jeremiah C. and Lydia (Mason) Whitney, was born 1 Jun 1837, NB, and died 18 Sep 1893. He was buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, ME.

He married, L. Henrietta F. Butler, daughter of Charles A. and Susanna (Tegart) Butler. She was born about 1844, ME, and died after 1900. She was his step-sister.
