Henry6 Whitney (Samuel5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Samuel5, was born 29 Jan 1783, ME, and died 27 Apr 1837, Havre, France.

He married, 27 Mar 1807, Lucy Perkins. She was born about 1785, ME, and died after 1860, but apparently before 1870.

They resided Castine, ME.

v. William Cutler Whitney, b. 20 Jul 1815; d. 30 Sep 1816.
vi. Charles Whitney, b. 29 Oct 1817; drowned 1 Oct 1831, Penobscot Bay.
vii. Samuel Austin Whitney, b. -----; m. Ann E. Auld, and d. 28 Oct 1850, New Orleans, LA, s.p.
viii. John Perkins Whitney, b. 20 Jan 1820, Castine, ME; d. 11 Aug 1839, New Orleans, LA, aged 21 years;[2] unmarried.
