Henry1 Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1825, Ireland, and died after 1880. He is probably the Henry Whitney who died 15 Apr 1895, and was buried in Saint Joseph New Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.[1]

He married, before 1848, Mary Whelen. She was born about 1839, Ireland, and died after 1880. She is probably the Mary Whitney who died 6 Jul 1901, and was buried in Saint Joseph New Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.[2]

Her parentage is unknown, but she apparently had a brother Lawrence Whelan, born about 1829, Ireland, who lived in St. Louis, MO.

He was probably the Henry Whitney who arrived in New York, NY, 4 May 1849, aged 22 years, aboard the Bark Dunbrody, which departed from New Ross, Ireland.[3]

They lived in Cincinnati, OH.
