Henry Codman9 Whitney (Michael William8, Stephen7, Timothy6, Moses5, Timothy4, John3, John2, John1), son of Michael William8 and Harriett C. (Faxon) Whitney, was born May 1845 or -- May 1846, Quincy, MA,[1] and died after 1910.

He was unmarried.

He served in Company A, 32d Massachusetts Volunteers during the war, and at present (1895) resides at the Soldiers' Home in Chelsea, ME.

On 3 Feb 1894 he applied for an invalid pension, Application Number 1,155,877, Certificate Number 878,566. His rank was Musician.

Henry Whitney, gardener, emlisted 3 Nov 1861, aged 18 years, as a Private in Company A, Massachusetts 32nd Infantry Regiment. Mustered in 26 Nov 1861. Mustered out on 24 Nov 1864.
