Henry S.8 Whitney (Ezra7, James6, Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Ezra7 and Lucy (Waters) Whitney, was born 16 Oct 1816, Stafford, CT, and died 14 Mar 1908, Worcester, MA, aged 91 years 4 months 29 days, of cerebral hemorrhage.[1]

He "of Stafford, Ct." married, 10 Sep 1839, Worcester, MA, Maria Pratt,[2] daughter of Samuel Austin and Harriet (Cornish) Pratt. She was born 4 Jun 1817, Shrewsbury, MA, and died 4 Dec 1903, Shrewsbury or Worcester, MA, aged 86 years 6 months, of old age.[3]

They lived in Albany, NY, Shrewsbury, MA, and Worcester, MA.

ii. Edward Henry Whitney, b. 23 Mar 1843, Stafford, CT;[9] m.(1) Harriet Barton; m.{2} Mary Jane Fitman.
iii. Everett Whitney, b. 5 Apr 1846, Stafford, CT;[10] not in family in 1850 or 1855.
