James5 Whitney (John4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of John4 and Thankful (Benedict) Whitney, was born say 1753, and died after 1800.

He married ----- -----.

He lived at, or near, Johnstown, NY. Mrs. Anna (Whitney) Snow, of Henderson, N. Y., remembers that he visited his brother Samuel, at Kirkland, NY, and that two of his children also visited there; but she does not know the names of his wife or any of his children.[1]
