James Clarence Ferriter alias Whitney, adopted son of James and Nancy (Sweeney) Ferreter, was born 3 Jan 1850, Boston, MA,[1] and died May 1925, Boston, MA.

He married, 12 Dec 1875, Boston, MA, Elizabeth H. Sutherland, daughter of James and Mary A. (-----) Sutherland.[2] She was born about 1854, or Nov 1856, Richibucto, NB, and died 18 Dec 1936, Brighton, MA.

His mother died 19 Feb 1853, Dorchester, MA, of consumption, and he was adopted by apparently Esther B.7 and Eunice7 Whitney.

In 1876, he was a clerk living at 280 Silver St., Boston, MA. In 1878, he was a clerk living at 7 Linden St., Boston, MA. In 1884, he lived in Cambridge, MA. In 1892 through 1896, he was a coal dealer living at 8 Evans St., Boston, MA.
