Jeremiah7 Whitney (Moses6, Daniel5, Daniel4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Joseph6 and Phebe (Schoonover) Whitney, was born about 1802, NY, and died 18 Dec 1854, Brookville, IN.

He married, 7 Mar 1822, Franklin Co., IN, Clarissa Tyler, daughter of Nathan and Olive (-----) Tyler. She was born about 1806, VT, died 4 Mar 1888, Highland, IN.

He was a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Notes

It seems almost certain that Clarissa (Tyler) Whitney married secondly, about 1859, Daniel Moreford, as "David" Moreford and wife "Clarrassa" were listed in the 1860 Census next door to "A. T." [i.e., Acy] Whitney, and that lady was born about 1805 in Vermont. See above. Hiram Stuart also appears in the family of Daniel and Clarisy Monford in 1870, and Clarisa Monford is living in the family of Hiram Stewart in 1880, the same Hiram Stuart in Jeremiah and Clarissa's family in 1850.
