Family:Whitney, John (c1740-1820)

Elder John⁵ Whitney ((poss.) Samuel⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), possibly son of Samuel⁴ and Lydia (Spooner) Whitney, was born circa 1740, calculated from age at death, and died before 7 Dec 1820, Thorndike, ME, "Elder", aged 80 years.

He married about 1762, Joanna Foy, daughter of Charles and Hephzibah (Seavey) Foy/Foye.^[1] She was born about 1746.
