John Andros8 Whitney (Benjamin7, Moses6, Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Benjamin7 and Rachel Nye (Spooner) Whitney, was born 23 Nov 1811, Dorchester, MA, and died 22 Nov 1892, Ashland, MA, aged 81 years, of old age and heart disease.[1]

Marriage intentions were published 19 Mar 1837, Uxbridge, MA, for him and Eliza W. Wellington "of Waltham".[2] He "of Uxbridge" married, 6 Apr 1837, Waltham, Eliza W. Wellington,[3] daughter of Edmund and Eunice (Adams) Wellington.[4] She was born 3 Aug 1804, Waltham, MA [birth not recorded], and died 11 Jul 1893, Ashland, MA, aged 88 years 11 months, of old age and cancer of brest.[5]

John A. Whitney was admitted to the church in Dedham on 24 Jun 1832, and dismissed to 1st Church, Newton, on 1 Feb 1841.[6]

He was in the railroad business. He resided Newton and Ashland, MA.
