He married, 29 May 1870, Bangor, ME, Sarah C. Hill,[3] daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Malinda H. (Barker) Hill. She was born 5 Dec 1840, Exeter, ME, and died 5 Feb 1933, Bangor, ME, aged 92 years.[4] She was buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor, ME.[5]
John8 and Sarah C. (Hill) Whitney had no children.
