Joseph Francis9 Whitney (Jacob Sargent8, Levi7, Solomon6, Solomon5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Jacob Sargent8 and Ann Maria (Cannell) Whitney, was born 14 Dec 1844, Dorchester, MA,[1] and died after 1920.

He married, 15 Nov 1882, Lexington, MA, Sarah Elizabeth Thaxter "of Lexington", daughter of Duncan McB. and Harriet (-----) Thaxter. She was born about 1862, South Boston, MA,[2] and died between 1915 and 1920.

They lived on Maxwell St., Boston, MA.
